5 Things to Wear to the Barre on St. Patrick's Day

Okay, we’re all adults here, but just because we’re grown-ups doesn’t mean we can’t release our inner-kid every now and then, right? Prime opportunity is coming up this Friday: the age-old St. Patrick’s Day tradition of pinching those who are not wearing green. Oh yeah, the one time of the year you get to lovingly aggravate those around you (anybody else a little sister out there?). This year, St. Patrick’s Day may fall on your barre day and—gasp—you have absolutely nothing green to wear. On the other hand, maybe you don’t want to put on real clothes that day. Either way, you better believe that there are pinchers out there, and you may not want to get pinched by the instructor that day while being corrected on form (just kidding, but maybe not). Even if you are one of those fortunate people who have completely matured and you’re not afraid of getting pinched, maybe you’re looking for some fresh spring colors to add to your athletic wardrobe for spring and summer. Either way, we’ve got you and your skin figuratively and literally covered. Now, get to shopping and prepare to pinch—just not too hard and not complete strangers, k?

Fabletics Outfit
If you want to look green from head-to-toe and have not experienced Kate Hudson’s co-owned Fabletics yet, prepare yourself. On top of choices of compression fabrics and customizable lengths, you get high-quality leggings, bras, and tops at a reasonable member discounted price, including this Albury outfit, which goes with all of the GB swag. You may have heard that Fabletics charges $50 to your account on the first of each month, but you have the option to skip the month by the 5th day. Look out for great premiums like $25 for your first outfit. Thanks, Kate!

Old Navy Sports Bra
For those who would lie and tell everyone that they were wearing green underwear when they were in elementary school, you don’t have to anymore! Just wear this Old Navy sports bra with an open tank and everyone will see and actually believe that you are wearing green undergarments. Tee hee. It’s low-impact and and equipped with adjustable straps so you don’t have to worry about—uh—giving away the farm while doing barre.

Green Sticky Socks
These Gaiam sticky socks also have a bit of a surprise factor because the green is found on the bottom of your feet. They are unfortunately online only, but you can get them online. And we recommend you do since we are still having some wintery spells. Just remember, for every mistaken pinch given while wearing these bad boys means two pinches back.

Victoria’s Secret Leggings
Hello colored pants- I mean leggings! Sure, I bet cargo pants are out of style (who cares anyways), but colored pants are a big trend for this spring if you care, and covering your bottom half is always better when you have a stretchy, high-wasted band. These Victoria's Secret leggings to wear at the barre, and with a chunky spring sweater and sneakers. Plus, there’s handy, sizable pockets on the sides, and pockets have definitely never hurt anything before

OPI in "Stay Off the Lawn!!"
Sooo this is *technically* not activewear and it’s not *technically* not even an item of clothing, but you are *technically* wearing it. Plus, you need a good excuse to go buy OPI, right? This shade is called “Stay off the Lawn!!” which we totally will do. Just give us the nail polish. Psst: don’t forget these at-home nail hacks too for the perfect mani/pedi.
