Do I need any fitness experience?
Absolutely not! Garage Barre + Bike was built for everyBODY.
Whether you're an experienced athlete or stepping into a fitness studio for the very first time, our instructors will guide you every step of the way. Every class includes modifications so you can work at the level that's right for you while still being challenged.
We welcome participants ages 13 and older when accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.
Can I take classes while pregnant?
Yes, with your healthcare provider's approval.
Please bring a note from your provider permitting exercise and let your instructor know before class begins so we can provide safe modifications throughout your workout.
Can I take classes if I have an injury?
Absolutely. Please let us know about any injuries or conditions BEFORE class begins and note them on your client account.
Our instructors are happy to offer modifications whenever possible, but always follow your physician's recommendations.
Do you offer childcare?
At this time, we do not offer childcare.
For everyone's safety, children may not remain in the studio while a parent or guardian is attending class, even if they're the sweetest, best-behaved kiddos on the planet.
What should I bring?
Just bring yourself, water, and a great attitude!

If you're taking Bike for the first time, please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can properly fit your bike and teach you how to clip in safely. First time clients who arrive too late for Bike will have their class returned to their account and be asked to reschedule.

I'm new to indoor cycling. Will someone help me?
Absolutely! We love first-time riders.
If you're taking Bike for the first time, please arrive at least 15 minutes before class begins. We'll help you:
Get fitted to your bike
Put on your cycling shoes
Learn how to clip in and out safely
Answer any questions before class starts
If you arrive too late for us to safely get you set up before class begins, we'll return your class credit to your account and help you reschedule. We never want your first ride to feel rushed or unsafe.
Do I need special shoes for Bike?
Yes. For safety and the best riding experience, all Bike classes require indoor cycling shoes with SPD or LOOK Delta cleats.
Don't own a pair? No worries!
Complimentary shoe rentals are included with your New Babe Special.
After that, rentals are just $2 per class.
We also sell Tiem cycling shoes in the studio and are happy to help you find the perfect fit. Every Tiem purchase at GB comes with complimentary cleats and installation.
If you're bringing your own shoes, please make sure your cleats are tightened before class so they don't come loose while riding.
Can I wear my cycling shoes throughout the studio?
It depends on the style of shoe.
Cycling shoes with exposed cleats (including our rental shoes) should only be worn inside the cycle studio on the rubber flooring or the carpet under the benches in front of the cycle studio. Walking on hard surfaces can damage the cleats, scratch our floors, and create a slipping hazard.
Sneaker-style cycling shoes with recessed cleats—like the ones we sell—may be worn throughout the studio.
Can I choose my bike?
Absolutely!
When you reserve your Bike class through our app or website, you'll see a studio map where you can select your favorite bike.
Found your lucky bike? Go ahead and claim it!
Can I make the bike seat more comfortable?
Yes! This is probably our most frequently asked Bike question.
Indoor cycling seats can take a few rides to get used to, but your body adapts surprisingly quickly.
If you'd like a little extra cushioning while you're getting started, padded cycling shorts or a gel seat cover can make those first rides more comfortable.
Or…you can earn your #CrotchCallus the Cheap & Rowdy way. 😉
What are the height and weight limits for the bikes?
Our Stages SC2 bikes accommodate riders approximately:
Height: 4'10" to 6'10"
Maximum rider weight: 350 lbs
If you have any questions about bike fit, our instructors are happy to help.
What should I bring to Bike class?
Bring:
Water
A sweat towel (optional)
Your cycling shoes (or rent a pair from us)
For everyone's safety:
-Phones should be silenced (and flashing lights off) before class and watches in theater mode.
Personal belongings must remain in a locker during class.
Please arrive on time so class can begin promptly.
-
Are your classes beginner-friendly?
Absolutely! Every class at Garage Barre + Bike is designed for all fitness levels.
Our instructors provide modifications and progressions throughout every workout, so whether you're brand new or a seasoned athlete, you'll find a challenge that's right for you.
Two things we believe with our whole hearts:
“There's room for everyone at the barre.” & “EveryBODY can bike.”
What if I can't do everything in class?
That's completely okay—and honestly, pretty normal!
Take breaks when you need them. Grab lighter weights. Choose the modification. Skip a movement if your body needs it.
Our goal isn't perfection. It's progress. One of our favorite sayings is:
"Even the unfit fit in."
Just keep showing up. We'll take care of the rest.
Will your classes help me lose weight?
When paired with consistency and healthy nutrition, our classes can absolutely help support weight loss while building strength, endurance, and lean muscle.
Our biggest goal, though, is helping you feel stronger, healthier, more confident, and excited to move your body.
What is Garage Barre?
Garage Barre is our signature 60 minute, high-intensity, low-impact strength class inspired by ballet, Pilates, yoga, and functional fitness.
Unlike a traditional barre studio, we focus on building strength, confidence, and community—not perfection. EveryBODY belongs here.
Expect small, controlled movements that challenge your muscles in a big way while improving balance, posture, flexibility, and overall strength.
We provide all equipment, including mats, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
What is Garage Bike?
Garage Bike is our 45-minute indoor cycling experience that's equal parts workout, dance party, and therapy session.
Ride to incredible playlists while climbing hills, sprinting, dancing, and pushing yourself in ways you never thought possible. Every class also includes an upper-body strength section using light weights and finishes with a stretch.
You'll leave sweaty, stronger, inspired, and probably wondering how 45 minutes flew by so fast.
For everyone's safety:
Cycling shoes with SPD or LOOK Delta cleats are required.
Personal belongings and phones must remain in a locker during class.
Please place your phone on silent before class begins and watches in theater mode.
Absolutely no walking on any surface in cleated cycle shoes other than the carpet under the benches or in the cycle studio. Tiem style sneaker cycle shoes are permitted on any surface.
What is Garage Bounce?
Garage Bounce is a high-energy cardio and strength workout performed on a premium JumpSport rebounder (mini trampoline).
You'll alternate between fun rebounding intervals for cardio and lymphatic movement, followed by full-body strength work using dumbbells, resistance bands, and ankle weights.
Every class finishes with stretching and recovery.
Our trampolines accommodate participants up to 350 pounds, and every movement can be modified—including low-impact options where your feet never leave the trampoline.
What is Garage Build?
Garage Build is our 55-minute strength training class designed to help you safely build lean muscle.
Using dumbbells, resistance bands, ankle weights, and benches, you'll complete multiple sets of controlled strength exercises targeting every major muscle group. Strategic rest periods between sets help maximize muscle growth (hypertrophy).
Each class finishes with foam rolling and a full-body stretch.
For best results, we recommend taking Build 2–3 times per week with cardio or a recovery day between classes.
What is Beat?
Beat is our dance cardio category featuring Throw Down® classes.
Expect an upbeat, high-energy workout packed with easy-to-follow choreography, incredible music, and lots of sweating.
If you're new to dance fitness, we recommend starting with one of our 101 classes, where instructors break down the choreography before putting it all together.
Wear supportive athletic shoes and get ready to have FUN!
How often should I take classes?
Our favorite routine is a balanced mix of strength and cardio throughout the week.
We recommend alternating:
Strength: Barre, Build & Bilates
Cardio: Bike, Bounce & Beat
Build is most effective 2–3 times per week, allowing a recovery day between classes for optimal muscle recovery and muscle growth.
Want to level up? Pair a strength class with a cardio class on the same day for the ultimate Garage Barre + Bike experience.
Consistency is where the magic happens!

Running behind? Give us a call or send us a text!
